Fire Technician I (Firefighter)
Thunder Mountain is seeking highly motivated applicants with entry-level experience for
the 2026 season. Our crewmembers are expected to demonstrate a willingness to
learn, possess the physical capacity necessary to perform the arduous tasks assigned
on the job, as well as maintain unwavering dependability throughout the entirety of the
season. We look to acquire individuals who are teamwork oriented, honest, punctual,
and possess a drive to build and solidify foundational jobs skills in wildland firefighting
and fuels mitigation.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Able to pass the Arduous Work Capacity Test (3-mile hike in 45 minutes with 45-pound pack)
- NWCG Courses: S-130 – Firefighter Training, S-190 – Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior, L-180 – Human Factors in Wildland Fire Service, ICS-100 – Introduction to ICS, IS-700 – NIMS: An Introduction
