Wildland Fire Resources

The Alta Hotshots are a nationally recognized Type 1 Interagency Hotshot Crew (IHC), based out of the State of Utah Wildland Fire Operations Center in South Salt Lake City, UT. The crew is hosted and sponsored by the Utah Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands (FFSL) and operates under a cooperative partnership between the United States Forest Service (Region 4) and FFSL.

Twin Peaks Type 2 Initial Attack (T2IA) is a State of Utah wildland fire suppression resource based out of the Lone Peak Conservation Center (LPCC) in Draper, Utah. Twin Peaks T2IA are hosted and sponsored by the Utah Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands (FFSL).

Dromedary Peak is a Type 2 Initial Attack Hand Crew (T2IA) based out of the Lone Peak Conservation Center (LPCC), in Draper, Utah. The crew is hosted and sponsored by the Utah Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands (FFSL).

Thunder Mountain is a Fire Suppression and fuels reduction hand crew based out of the Lone
Peak Conservation Center (LPCC) in Draper, Utah. The crew is hosted and sponsored by the
Utah Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands
(FFSL).

The State of Utah Engines are wildland fire suppression resources based out of the Utah Wildland Fire Operations Center South Salt Lake, UT. The engines are hosted and sponsored by the Utah Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands (FFSL) and currently consist of two Type 4 and two Type 3 wildland engines.
