Story Planted by Martin Pardon Crandall in 1856 with seed brought back with him from a mission to Australia. It grew and shaded his homestead. Martin P. Crandall became the father of 8 children, and died near the tree he had loved so many years. Dedicated by Mrs. Norma B. Strong and preserved as a landmark by the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, September 18, 1941.
