Story Bertrand F. Harrison planted these unique trees in about 1941 as he and students were planning a Botany Garden at BYU. In 1983 the Botany Garden was dedicated as the Bertrand F. Harrison Arboretum. Since these trees grow in the southeastern part of the U.S.A., it has been exciting to see how well they have done in our climate.
